The Big Day:
my first flight in a legendary aircraft
There are moments you wait a long time for. That day was mine. For the first time, I was going to fly in an open-cockpit aircraft, a legendary biplane: the Stampe SV4-RS. A long-held dream, fueled by images of 1930s aviation, helmeted pilots, and elegant, spirited machines. As I approached the aircraft, I immediately sensed something different. Two superimposed wings, a sleek silhouette, an almost timeless presence. This isn't a modern plane: it's a machine that tells a story. When I settled into the open cockpit, the world already seemed larger. The wind, the light, the smell of the air… everything was real, immediate. The pilot welcomed me calmly and passionately, taking the time to explain the safety instructions, the simple maneuvers, and the sensations to come. Trust settled in naturally. The engine starts. A few meters are all it takes. We leave the ground.
🌬️ Flight – Pure freedom and true sensations
From the very first seconds, I understand: this flight is unlike any other. The landscape unfolds before my eyes. Burgundy slowly glides by, its contours, its colors, its gentle lines. The wind stirs in the cockpit, the engine's hum is muffled, almost reassuring. You don't just endure the flight, you experience it. Each turn is fluid, precise. The plane is incredibly agile, alive under the pilot's hands. I feel free, carried, fully present in the moment. There is no more fear, no more apprehension. Just the raw pleasure of flying, like in the early days of aviation.

History and Importance of Biplanes in Aviation
Biplanes have played a significant role in aviation history. They were first used as fighter aircraft during World War I. They were highly maneuverable and capable of incredible aerial maneuvers. After the war, open biplanes became popular recreational aircraft. Pilots began using them to explore the landscape and participate in air competitions. Today, open biplanes are often used for sightseeing flights and introductory flights.
The MB AERO Stampe SV4-RS is an aviation gem that combines the classic design of a biplane with the latest technological advancements in comfort and safety. Thanks to its lightweight structure and wide wings, the Stampe SV4-RS offers exceptional stability in the air, allowing you to fully enjoy the panoramic landscape stretching out below.
