The continuation of my flight experience...
🧭 Before takeoff – Safety and preparation
Before boarding, everything is clear and reassuring.
Helmet, seatbelt, safety briefing: every detail is explained simply. The professionalism doesn't detract from the friendliness; quite the opposite. You can feel the experience, the expertise, the respect for both the machine and the passenger.
Once equipped, the cockpit setup is surprisingly comfortable. The pilot performs the final checks. Everything is ready.
✈️ Dare, feel, savor
Like many, I had some apprehensions before the flight.
Height, vertigo, the unknown.
But within the first few minutes, everything disappears.
The stability of the aircraft, the smoothness of the trajectories and the serenity of the pilot transform anxiety into confidence, then into enthusiasm.
The tight turns, the gentle descents, the changes in perspective add a perfectly controlled touch of adrenaline. The goal isn't performance, but the right kind of emotion.
📸 Capturing the moment
To extend the experience, I chose the video option.
A precious memory: the cockpit, the landscape, the expressions, the suspended moments.
Here are a few simple tips if you want to take photos yourself:
-
Use a lightweight and secure device (strap essential),
-
Favor wide-angle images: landscapes, wings, horizons,
-
Put the device aside too… and simply enjoy.
Some images remain engraved without a screen.
✔️ Tips for a first flight in an open biplane
During the flight, I wanted to capture every moment of this unique experience. I chose the "Video" option to preserve a memory of the panoramic view, the cockpit, and myself. I also asked the pilot to take photos of me fully equipped as I boarded the plane.
To take photos and videos during the flight, I used a compact camera with a strap to keep it around my neck. I also used a selfie stick to take pictures of myself in the cockpit. I found that the best photos were the ones that showed the panoramic view and the excitement on my face.
